Brandon Bent is a blogger, film-maker and writer, who reports for us from Toronto.

He currently writes a popular blog “Brandon Bent’s Blog”  (http://www.brandonbent.com)

He also is owner of Bent Magazine (http://www.bentmag.com/), which is a queer arts and entertainment magazine that will be in full production by mid-2018.

Brandon is an established video and film producer. He has produced documentaries, music videos, and commercials, just to name a few. His focus is on the LGBTQ community and he hopes to produce a number of films in the future documenting LGBTQ history. He feels that there are so many important stories that need to be told from which we all can learn.

Emily Anne Fraser

Emily Anne Fraser has been a Vancouverite since she was just five years old. She and her family

moved here from Toronto Canada in 1995. One of her first memories was walking the sea wall at Stanley Park, and it was then she knew she could never leave this city. Growing up, she took a liking to theatre as early as grade 8 at Vancouver Technical Secondary, and has gone right through to post education earning her a degree in film production, two acting certificates, and several awards for her achievements in acting.

Emily has been a reporter for OutLook TV just shy of one year, and is now playing with the thought of tackling the world of journalism. Until then, she continues to work behind the scenes for various television shows such as The Flash, Supergirl, and Riverdale to name a few.

Gareth C.J. Wee

Gareth mostly reports on issues that tackle social justice, creativity, and LGBT and youth empowerment. He is very passionate about helping people with disabilities, promoting a healthy and safe environment and including people who feel left out. He is also very welcoming of new comers to Vancouver, having moved here back in 2006.

He has volunteered for many organizations that aid people locally and internationally. Outside of reporting and editing for Outlook TV, Gareth is the co-writer and one of the colouring artists for an LGBT webcomic adaptation of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake www.princeandswan.com . He loves learning new languages, singing, hiking and training at the Vancouver Circus School.

Gareth Cj. Wee graduated from Simon Fraser University specializing in design and wearable technology. He currently works as a designer for a quasi-government organization.

James Goodman – Producer

In 1989 James was involved with “the Coming Out Show” on Vancouver’s Co-op radio and produced promotional segments for Celebration ’90 which were sent to LGBT radio show’s around the world.

At the turn of the century when digital video was readily available, James started using it for work and for over ten years to produce trailers for Vancouver’s Queer Film Festival. He has volunteered on independent film productions and was cinematographer for a Transgender Documentary produced for OutTV.

As a retired consulting engineer James brings his organizational and technical skills to OutlookTV as Webmaster, cameraperson, editor and Community Producer.

His advice to all ages of the LGBTQ community is to Volunteer, get involved and rewards will come .

Robert MacKie

    Robert is a unique breed indeed.

    He plays many roles in his life including teacher, designer, mentor and performer. His is extremely honoured to add the role of co-host for OutLook TV to his roster.
    This is an exciting opportunity to get more involved with the queer community and bring news about it to others. He is looking forward to working alongside the talented team at OutLook TV.
     Robert is a people person and a person of the arts. Woven into his professional years is a special in his heart for new media, visual and performing arts. He looks forward to reporting on and interviewing people in the queer arts community and all the wonderful contributions they have made.

Audition for a new Male Identified Host

 ” OutlookTV ‘s audition for a new “male identified”  host will take place on Sunday ,September 27th, 2015  @ Shaw Tower -starting at 10 am.
The interviews will take place on the hour and the half hour. Each person will get a half hour.
So please email your time  preference and hopefully we can slot you in.
The audition will consist of :
1) an intro to a story that you wrote.
2) a cold read of a story
3) Scriptless, meaning you will improv banter between you and Rebecca ( our female host ) on bare bones segments.

John Paul Payne

John Paul comes all the way from Carlow, Ireland and now calls Vancouver home. As a teenager, he spent his summers working as an intern for the Youth Services. His passion for charity and human rights didn’t go unnoticed and he was invited to attend the European Youth Summit in Budapest, Hungary and presented many issues Irelands LGBT youth faced at the time. This helped him receive a Presidents Award at the time.

Discovering a love for artistry, and exploring that, John Paul soon found himself pushing boundaries to become a makeup artist as he was the only male in the colleges history at the time. He has went on to work on TV shows, movies and even London Fashion Week.
Travel has been a huge part of John Paul’s adult life, from skiing in Switzerland to surfing in Sydney. Landing in a new unknown city is what he is known for amongst friends.
Reporting on many events from backstage at Vancouver Fashion Week to covering the equality referendum results in Dublin, LGBT rights and promoting a positive image of the community is one of his strongest passions.

Chris’s broadcast passion stems primarily from his love of life. His humble beginnings in the world of entertainment came before his completion of BCIT’s Broadcast Communication Program. Starting with video assignments in high school to converting his basement to a fully functioning theater which led to epic productions of Grease, Titanic and anything to do with the Spice Girls. Impersonating Will Smith and the bald guy from Aqua were among his most memorable roles

His career has taken him into Creative Copywriting, Producing Commercials, On-Air Hosting, Video Editing and DJ work. Chris’s career highlights include spearheading nationally recognized corporate radio campaigns and working in Sydney, Australia as a Cameraman/Editor for Big Review TV. He currently resides in the Vancouver area working for a production company and will be launching a freelance creative business by the end of 2015.

His on camera presenting is a progression of his creative talents, thanks to opportunities with OutlookTV.

Chris’s philosophy is about dreaming big, binging on Netflix occasionally and living a balanced life to the fullest. Watch for his talent on episodes of OutlookTV.

In her 9-5 career, Kelsey is a financial planner in North Vancouver. In between client meetings, she’s raising a PADS puppy-in-training 24/7 for the 1st 2 years of his life. His name is Arrow, and he’s quite an adorable handful! When she’s not financially planning and dispensing kibbles for good canine behaviour, you can probably find Kelsey playing dodgeball, volleyball, softball, or floor hockey; binging out on Netflix; or hanging out with her pet hedgehog, Harriet Deadly$niper Tiggywinkle.
