Barb Snelgrove

Barb Snelgrove is Co-host of CiTR Radio’s international hit show, QueerFM RELOADED and is a reporter for OutlookTV and OUTtv nationally. She has written for numerous local media outlets as well as on-line publications such as The Huffington Post and SheWired.com. Barb also runs the Vancouver based LGBTQ communications firm megamouthmedia consulting.

A long time community advocate, Barb has been awarded the Vancouver Pride Society Outstanding Community Member Award, has been named as one of OutTV’s “Top Queers of the Year” and was named to the GayVancouver.net Annual List of “Ten People Making a Difference in Vancouver”. She has been a Van Pride Parade Grand Marshal (Local Hero Category), was awarded the 2013 TELUS Pride Legacy Award as Community Superstar, nominated for the 2014 City of Vancouver Award of Excellence Award (under Gender & Inclusion) and was inducted into the Canadian Queer Hall of Fame in Toronto alongside Jane Rule and Jack Layton last Fall.
